The Internet Archive has put up a downloadable post that is 148 gigs of one million international album covers. There are lots of dead, unusably small, and duplicate images, and it's pretty unsorted, but what a thing to try and do! I've only downloaded a few of them so far, and here's some examples of some of the weirder stuff I've come across so far! It's a giant fustercluck no doubt, but still a major accomplishment!
