POSTMODERN JUKEBOX - "Burn"
Haven't had time to work on this place much, so even though there's no traffic, I'm going to do my little part to help promote one of the most fascinating groups of musicians that I've heard in a long time, and I've heard LOTS of music! That's one thing I don't lie about, so, in no particular order, here are some amazing videos from a group called Postmodern Jukebox!
Fired up by the keyboard playing Scott Bradlee, Postmodern Jukebox takes fairly mundane hits of the day and turn them into beautiful pieces of art in some completely different musical genre from the past, like in this case Girl Group, but sometimes it's Ragtime, Cabaret, Doo-wop, Mariachi, New Orleans, Vintage Jazz style and more! Probably 90% of these videos are shot 'Live" right in this small room, and even though Robyn Adele Anderson, the gal in the middle, sings a lot of the songs (and she is something the other side of awesome), you never know who Scott Bradlee is going to drag into the room! They have everything, Innovation, Style, The Look, Intelligence, Humor, and Talent! One bad thing, the songs are very catchy, and might get lodged in your brain for weeks if you listen to them too much!
Right here, they cover Ellie Goulding's hit "Burn" with Robyn Adele Anderson, Christina Gatti, and Ashley Stroud on vocals, Adam Kubota on bass, Allan Mednard on drums, Scott Bradlee on the piano, and Stefan Zeniuk on the flame-o-phone!
If you love this stuff as much as I do, then here's where you can go to share your love, and keep these folks in business! I'm predicting that as soon as they get one big break, Post Modern Jukebox will soon be a name that everybody has heard of!
