One thing that hasn't changed, they still save service today. They save it for when they go to the bank! When I was a kid, my Dad had a gas station. For 23 cents a gallon, we had to wash windshields front and back, check the oil, and the water in the radiator, and if the customer wanted it, we'd check the pressure in all four tires!

  1. i remember full-serve stations from when i was a kid but by the time i was old enough to drive they were all gone.
